Marina visited Wellington, New Zealand.
I visited Wellington in New Zealand. It is the capital city of New Zealand, it is in the North Island.
The legend says the city was explored on the 10th century. The city receives its name in honor of Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington and the winner of Waterloo battle.
Wellington has an oceanic climate: mild and humid throughout the year, the rainiest season is Winter.
There are 410.000 inhabitants in Wellington but it is not the biggest city in New Zealand, it is Auckland.
People play many sports there, but mainly rugby and soccer.

YOUR LIMERICKS
I know, it has been a long time since you sent me your limericks but... better late than never!!!
I have chosen two poems among the ones you sent to me. I think both are very good and they have some things in common: sport and girls! Here you are:
THERE WAS A PRETTY YOUNG GIRL
WHO LOVED PLAYING FOOTBALL AND VOLLEY.
ONE DAY SHE FELL AND HURT HER LEG.
SHE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND TOLD THE NURSE.
THE NURSE TRIED TO UNDERSTAND BUT.. SHE WAS SO YOUNG!! by Teresa Limones
THERE WAS A YOUNG WOMAN ON THE BEACH
LOOKING AT SOME YOUNG PEOPLE PLAY A MATCH,
THE SUN WAS VERY BRIGHT
AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF LIGHT
THEN THE WOMAN FELL ASLEEP ON THE BEACH.
by Andrea Nieto
Congratulations Teresa and Andrea!!!!
